Rocketlab is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer I to join the Business Intelligence team in Long Beach, CA. This role is pivotal in architecting data solutions and driving business strategies with measurable impacts. You’ll be expected to design data architectures, optimize performance at scale, and mentor junior engineers.
The position requires 5+ years of experience, technical expertise in analytics engineering, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders. The base pay range is $101,600 – $127,000 USD, coupled with a robust benefits package.
Based onsite at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Senior Analytics Engineer I, as part of the Business Intelligence team, is responsible for driving strategic initiatives with measurable business impact, architecting scalable data solutions, and shaping team technical direction. This role balances hands‑on technical work including mentoring (70%), cross‑functional collaboration (20%), and continuous learning (10%). You’ll design data architectures, establish engineering standards, lead analytical initiatives, and mentor team members while delivering enterprise‑level solutions that drive business strategy and operational excellence.
This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.
Base Pay Range (CA Only): $101,600 – $127,000 USD.
