Shield AI is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the design and delivery of trusted data products for Corporate FP&A, Accounting, Program Finance, GTM, and Strategic Finance on our Databricks platform. You will shape analytical solutions, establish shared standards, and enable AI-enabled decision support across the finance organization.

This senior IC role combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional influence and mentorship to expand Finance's impact while upholding rigorous

Qualifications

Substantial experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or financial data modeling with advanced SQL and a track record delivering production data products.
Ability to lead ambiguous cross-functional work from problem definition through adoption.
Familiarity with AI coding assistants and judging generated work.

Responsibilities

Shape the analytics roadmap with Finance and GTM leaders, prioritizing high-impact products.
Build governed datasets and semantic models supporting reporting, planning, and scenario analysis.
Set modeling standards across domains with architecture, quality, and maintainability in mind.
Develop AI-enabled workflows and Databricks Genie-grounded analytics.
Use AI tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring validation and quality.
Own business-facing reconciliation and ensure reliable delivery with data engineering.
Mentor engineers and partners to strengthen self-service capabilities.
