Job summary
AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to support the Operations and Maintenance Engineering team as part of AES Clean Energy. You will help build the data analytics architecture to scale data and insights across the CE portfolio and stakeholders in O&M, expanding data availability and enabling advanced analytics.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in analytics or engineering, strong skills in Python/R/SAS, SQL, and BI tools, plus experience with GCP/BigQuery, data pipelines, and
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with R, Python, or SAS and SQL.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Experience designing scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data models.
- Knowledge of DAS/SCADA data architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain data warehouses, data cleansing processes, analytics dashboards, pipelines, and automated reporting solutions.
- Ensure high data quality, reliability, and availability across data ecosystems.
- Own and administer core data engineering and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, O&M Engineering, and Digital teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Work on AI/ML projects to improve performance of AES Clean Energy assets.
- Support data ingestion to data lakes (e.g., GCP).
