Job summary

Vay is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer in Las Vegas to join our Operations team. You’ll own end-to-end analytics—from data modeling with dbt and SQL to building dashboards in Superset and Grafana that drive real-world decisions on fleet readiness, maintenance, charging, and vehicle positioning.

You’ll partner with Operations and Mobility Product to define KPIs, deliver measurable impact, and create self-serve reporting tools for on-site teams, with a strong focus on real-time visibility.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL skills with ability to optimize complex queries.
• Experience designing scalable data models and analytics products.
• Proficiency with dbt and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong experience building dashboards in BI tools (Superset/Looker).
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery).
• Experience with data tooling like ETL/ELT and reverse-ETL.

You’ll work directly with onsite operational leaders to identify opportunities, solve real-world problems, and build analytics products that materially improve performance, efficiency, and customer experience.This is a high-impact, hybrid analytics engineering / business intelligence role. You won’t be buried in dashboards no one uses.
