Job summary

Dreambase in Austin (or Remote with timezone overlap) is building the analytics engine that makes fast, accurate insights from multiple data sources. You will own the query layer, OLAP processing, and edge transformations to deliver production-ready dashboards and reports at startup speed and enterprise scale.

You will design and optimize the caching, scaling across Postgres, ClickHouse, PostHog, and external APIs.

Qualifications

• Built analytical query systems at scale with OLAP versus OLTP workloads.
• Experience with distributed data processing patterns in production.
• Production use of DuckDB and PGlite in edge or client-side contexts.
• Experience with ClickHouse-backed analytics.
• Edge/WASM deployment experience and constraints.
• Knowledge of PostHog data model and connectors is a plus.
• Postgres with strong query planning and optimization knowledge.
• Emphasis on validation to ensure accuracy in analytics results.

Responsibilities

• Own the Query and OLAP Layer across heterogeneous data sources.
• Build on-the-fly transformations using DuckDB and PGlite.
• Scale analytics across Supabase Postgres, ClickHouse, PostHog, and external APIs.
• Design caching architecture for query results in edge or storage layers.
• Power the reports engine with end-to-end data pipelines.
• Optimize performance with partitioning, profiling, and monitoring.
• Own the Analytics Tools: Query Analyzer and Dataset Analyzer.
• Ensure data quality and correctness across sources.
