Job summary
Amgen seeks an Analytical Senior Scientist to lead advanced analytical development from preclinical to clinical and commercial stages. You will define control strategies, supervise method transfer, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across drug substance and product development.
Strong writing and communication skills are essential. The role requires a PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent with substantial scientific experience, knowledge of HPLC/UPLC, MS, and a commitment to GLP/GMP
Qualifications
- Doctorate or professional degree with relevant post-doc where applicable
- Minimum 3 years of scientific experience with a Masters or 5 years with a Bachelors
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech process and product development is a plus
- Knowledge of GMP/GLP regulations and regulatory filing support
Responsibilities
- Integrate platform and prior product knowledge to advance Amgen practices from FIH to marketing
- Define analytical control strategies and develop pivotal program methodologies
- Collaborate with drug substance/product process development teams
- Manage activities at contract manufacturing and testing sites
- May lead a small team of scientists
