Role Overview :

The Sr. Scientist will be responsible for implementing, developing, and validating analytical test methods to support process research and cGMP production. This includes developing LC, GC, GC-MS, LC/MS, ELISA, SEC-MALS, CE-SDS, cIEF, and other methods for small molecules, ADCs, oligonucleotides, and peptides. The role involves sample analysis using techniques such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, CE, NMR, KF, and wet chemistry, along with method modification, development, and validation. The incumbent may serve as the primary contact on development projects, collaborating closely with project teams on analytical chemistry needs.

Core Responsibilities :

1. Develop and validate new analytical procedures, independently resolving complex technical problems.
2. Perform sample analyses using various analytical techniques, interpret results, and document findings.
3. Document all analyses following SOPs.
4. Prepare SOPs, test methods, and GMP documentation.
5. Conduct investigations and troubleshoot analyses and instruments.
6. Support qualification of reference materials.
7. Develop and validate analytical methods.
8. Prepare and review scientific reports.
9. Interface with internal and external clients.

Qualifications :

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent with >8 years' GMP experience.
• MS in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent with >10 years' GMP experience.
• BS in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent with >12 years' GMP experience.
• At least 5 years' experience in method development and validation for small molecule APIs and process development.
• Experience with LC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, IC, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry.
• Mentoring experience in an analytical department.
• Formal project management training preferred.
• Experience in writing validation protocols and reports is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, UPLC, Empower 3 is desirable.
