Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Physical Chemistry with a focus on colloid and surface science for a 12- to 24-month assignment at our Clark, NJ site. The candidate will develop analytical methodologies to study complex fluids, interfacial phenomena, and multi-phasic systems, applying rigorous experimentation to real-world industrial challenges.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry or related field, and have hands-on tensiometry and interfacial rheology

Qualifications

PhD in Physical Chemistry, Colloid Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or closely related field.
Strong knowledge of complex fluid characterization and microstructure-property relationships.
Hands-on tensiometry using Wilhelmy plate, Du Noüy ring, and pendant drop methods.
Expertise in interfacial rheology including oscillating drop/bubble and bicone methods.
Knowledge of surfactant science, self-assembly, and stabilization in colloidal systems.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Develop advanced analytical methods for characterizing complex fluids and multi-phasic systems (emulsions, dispersions, foams).
Perform bulk and interfacial rheology studies to evaluate flow properties and viscoelastic behavior of formulations.
Measure surface/interfacial tension using Wilhelmy plate, Du Noüy ring, and pendant drop techniques.
Investigate surfactant behavior, self-assembly, and stabilization in colloidal systems.
Analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with formulation scientists to solve product-performance challenges.
Stay current with advances in colloid, interface, and physical chemistry research.
