Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Solid State and API Engineering Group in Ridgefield, CT. The successful candidate will study CAPS processes, distillation and drying kinetics, and contribute to robust process control and product quality through independent, mentored research.

Three-year fellowship with potential extension, collaboration across sites, and a strong publication focus for scientific advancement in amorphous solid dispersions and related unit

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with ≤3 years postdoctoral experience.
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer and mass transfer.
• Hands-on wet-lab experience.
• Experience with solid-state characterization (XRD, TGA, DSC, SEM).
• Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and publish.
• Experience in data analysis.
• Ability to comply with regulations and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research projects.
• Collaborate with other researchers within and outside Boehringer Ingelheim.
• Communicate and defend work orally and in writing.
• Establish an international reputation with publications and conferences.
• Publish first-author manuscripts and/or patent novel technologies.
