Job summary

Walgreens seeks a Sr. Analyst, Technology Compliance to support governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance across the organization, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and HITRUST frameworks.

You will help identify and address risks, track remediation efforts, and assist with audits and assessments. The role partners with cross-functional teams to maintain ongoing compliance, reporting to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with internal policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 2+ years in Technology Compliance, IT Audit or IT Security.
• Experience assessing PCI, HITRUST and/or HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.

Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Technology Compliance supports technology compliance, governance, and risk management activities across the organization. This role assists with maintaining compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards by participating in compliance assessments, and audit support activities. The Sr. Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to help identify and address compliance risks, track remediation efforts, and support ongoing compliance initiatives related to frameworks and regulations such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and HITRUST.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists in the creation and management of a technology compliance program
• Assesses technology controls and recommends remediation steps to management
• Creates and executes detailed technology control testing procedures
• Analyzes technology processes to determine control strengths and weaknesses
• Interprets and consults on technology-related regulations and standards
• Provides project management to specific elements of the Walgreens technology Compliance program by creating and tracking the completion of tasks
• Creates and maintains a current issue log compiled from multiple sources

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and at least 2 years of experience in Technology Compliance, IT Audit and/or IT Security OR a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Technology Compliance, IT Audit and/or IT Security.
• Experience in assessing compliance with PCI, HITRUST and/or HIPAA.
• Experience communicating conceptual and technical information both verbally (on the phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports, presentations) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, external clients).
• Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification provided by International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)².
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification provided by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
