Key Responsibilities:
- Research, evaluate, and document complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, software capitalization, debt, derivatives, investments, goodwill, intangible assets, and business combinations.
- Support contract reviews by collaborating with business and legal teams to address accounting considerations early, ensuring transactions are structured for both business objectives and GAAP compliance.
- Develop well-supported, timely accounting memos on complex issues in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Monitor regulatory and industry changes to ensure compliance and advise on their impact.
- Maintain effective internal controls over assigned accounting processes.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting workpapers.
- Assess and document accounting implications for new transactions, contracts, and business models.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies for consistent application across the company.
- Drive process improvements through technology and automation.
- Build and maintain relationships with external auditors, business leaders, and senior management to communicate critical issues promptly.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed.
Qualifications and Skillsets:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA required; MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, including public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm required).
- Proven expertise in reviewing contracts, researching complex accounting issues, and drafting technical memos.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex accounting concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities.

Additional Information:
Salary range: $86,300 - $123,300, varies based on skills, experience, and location. Compensation may include variable incentives.
