Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains software applications that support the organization's business objectives by writing code, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure consistent and lawful products.
  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to junior software development engineers by mentoring, reviewing code, and ensuring that best practices and established procedures are followed.
  • Collaborates with software development engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget parameters.
  • Coordinates with executive-level management, senior individual contributors, and stakeholders to gather and document customer requirements for software solutions and applications.
  • Designs and architectures software solutions that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable by leveraging software design patterns and architecture principles that drive continuous improvement and organizational advancement.
  • Creates and executes test plans, ensuring that code is tested, validated, and software application quality meets organizational standards and required regulations.
  • Monitors and maintains software application performance by troubleshooting issues, providing technical support to end-users, and ensuring that applications operate smoothly.
  • Identifies areas for improvement in software applications and processes, implementing changes that drive efficiency and productivity and align with the organization's goals and critical deliverables.
  • Drives innovation and improved software application quality by remaining abreast of emerging technologies and software development trends.
Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification/equivalent experience

Prior Relevant Work Experience

3-5 years

Essential Qualifications

Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills

Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
