Job Summary:

As a Reporting Engineer in Data Engineering for People Insights, your passion for data will enable you to support insights that drive HR strategies at Disney. You will design, develop, and maintain technical solutions like reports, dashboards, and other tools, requiring a strong understanding of Snowflake, SQL, and data visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Structures and Modeling: Design and maintain Snowflake objects; compile complex data for reporting; optimize data extraction and transformation based on data warehouse principles.
  • Reporting Development and Optimization: Convert report requirements into technical specifications; enhance reports with features like HTML; improve query performance and system efficiency; explore new tools and practices.
  • Automation: Build data pipelines integrating data from various sources, including apps like Smartsheet; collaborate with data engineers for efficient reporting pipelines.
  • Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements; support clients and partners; work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful reports.
  • Documentation and Training: Document report specifications and data models; train end users to ensure effective adoption of tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in report engineering, data analytics, or data engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Snowflake
  • Experience with Smartsheet or Airtable; report/dashboard development with Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to handle confidential info
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HR systems like Workday or SAP
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts

The salary range in Orlando, FL is $108,200 - $132,200 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits. Compensation will consider internal equity, geographic region, experience, and skills.
