Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Finance/Program Controls professional for the Tomahawk Advanced Programs Finance team to support EVMS reporting and program controls on a dynamic portfolio.

This onsite role partners with Program Managers, CAMs, IPT leads, supply chain, and engineering to provide financial insights and rigorous analysis. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and handling large datasets.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and variance analysis.
  • Support quarterly EAC development and analysis versus LRE.
  • Maintain program logs including charging guidance and risks & opportunities.
  • Execute program control actions including baseline change requests (BCRs), EVMS analysis, and cost/schedule integration.
  • Assist in development and delivery of CDRLs, including IPMDAR and CFSR.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly program reports and support reviews.
  • Use program control tools such as SAP/APEX, BW, Analysis for Office (A/O), forProject, and PMX Tool Suite for program control.
  • Provide timely support for ad hoc financial and data reporting requests.
  • Collaborate with program office, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to support execution.
  • Support monthly forecast/close processes and maintain Rplan forecasts.
  • Partner with Program Management and Planning on Earned Value implementation.
  • Communicate financial guidance across organization levels.

This program area is experiencing significant growth, projecting more than $100M in bookings over the next five years. This role provides the opportunity to support a dynamic portfolio while helping programs transition into full Earned Value Management (EVMS) reporting and execution. You will partner with Program Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), IPT Leads, Supply Chain, Engineering, and key functional leaders to provide financial insights and rigorous program controls. Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, guidance, and actionable recommendations to enable strategic decision-making and strong financial performance.

This position is designated as onsite in Tucson, AZ. A Secret clearance is required after day one, and a Top Secret clearance may be required for certain program assignments.

What You Will Do
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and variance analysis.
  • Support quarterly Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC) development and analysis versus Latest Revised Estimates (LRE).
  • Maintain program logs including charging guidance and risks & opportunities.
  • Execute a variety of program control actions including baseline change requests .(BCRs), EVMS analysis, and program cost/schedule integration.
  • Assist in development and delivery of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs), including IPMDAR and CFSR.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly program reports and support internal/external program reviews.
  • Utilize program control tools such as SAP/APEX, BW, Analysis for Office (A/O), forProject, and PMX Tool Suite.
  • Provide timely support for ad hoc financial and data reporting requests.
  • Collaborate with program office, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to support execution of programs with significant scope.
  • Support monthly forecast/close processes and maintain Rplan forecasts.
  • Partner with Program Management and Planning on Earned Value implementation.
  • Communicate financial guidance effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
