Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aerospace, is seeking a Procurement professional to manage supplier relationships within a commodity family. You will oversee schedules, purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets from a remote location.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Supply Chain or related field, 2 years of global supply chain experience, and SAP proficiency. You must be a U.S. citizen; residence in Puerto Rico is required, with up to 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all schedules and purchase orders for the supplier within a commodity.
• Ensure on-time delivery, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Handle inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Prepare purchase orders to support procurement processes.
• Compile price proposals and monitor contract performance.
• Contact suppliers to schedule/expedite deliveries and maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure delivery on time and conduct delivery assurance responsibilities.
• Communicate in English with customers and co-workers who speak English.
• Travel up to 10% domestically as needed.
• Participate in ACE tools and AS9100 initiatives and obtain ACE Associate certification.

What You Will Do

Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans.
• Responds to value stream inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
• Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries and develops and maintains good vendor relationships.
• Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost and perform delivery assurance responsibilities.
• English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
• Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10% domestically.
• Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required and actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts. Obtain ACE Associate certification.
