The Senior Analyst, Inventory Management, plays a critical role in optimizing inventory processes by analyzing overstock and understock positions, remediating problems, and supporting reverse logistics efforts to drive operational efficiencies. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations and vendor policies while providing data-driven insights to senior leadership. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives, fosters strong stakeholder partnerships, and contributes to effective inventory control and demand forecasting. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in inventory monitoring, project management, and communication to enhance retail operations and support Walmart’s commitment to excellence and integrity.

About the team

The Business Support team focuses on delivering consistent, accurate, and scalable solutions to manage inventory challenges effectively. This team addresses overstock and understock issues by linking root causes to outcomes and ensuring appropriate inventory resolutions. Key responsibilities include handling complex inventory situations, updating forecasts and safety stock levels, and supporting overall business strategies. The team collaborates closely with Merchandising, Finance, Pricing, Analytics, and Technology departments to optimize inventory performance and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Salary and Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $110,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field OR 1 year’s experience in inventory management, accounting, or related area.
