Job summary

KKR seeks a Senior Analyst to support expense accounting across the Insurance Segment in Des Moines, Iowa. This hands-on role covers close, financial reporting and analysis in a complex, multi-entity environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to collaborate across Finance and other functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in the insurance industry and/or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP; exposure to insurance statutory accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute key expense accounting processes, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, capitalized software, lease accounting and other expense activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting, including budget-to-actual and expense trend analysis.
• Prepare relevant quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosures across US GAAP and statutory accounting bases.
• Support budgeting and forecasting and analyze financial results, trends and business drivers.
• Maintain SOX controls, support audits, and assist in resolving issues.
• Partner across Finance and other functions to resolve accounting and operational matters.
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and automate accounting processes.
