Job summary

Reports to the Assistant Director for Research and Data Analytics. The position emphasizes data accuracy, dashboards, and strategic recommendations across university offices, with a hybrid work arrangement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, data-intensive, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to five years of professional experience in institutional research or higher education data analysis.
• Experience managing complex data submissions under firm deadlines.
• Proficiency in SQL/Python/R/SAS and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI/Qlik).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate data for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate stakeholders across university offices for rankings and benchmarking initiatives.
• Manage data collection, validation, and survey submissions for external benchmarking.
• Develop analytical models, dashboards, and benchmarking studies to inform planning.
• Produce annual rankings reports and present findings to university leadership.
• Represent UVA at professional conferences and external groups on rankings.
