Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to join our ServiceNow Team and advance the platform across ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HAM, SAM, and Employee Center.

You will design, build, and refine solutions, partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable designs. This hands-on role requires deep scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs) and platform governance, plus mentoring teammates, leading upgrades, and driving performance and integration efforts using REST, SOAP,

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development in enterprise environments.
• Expert-level ServiceNow scripting and configuration skills.
• Proven experience leading while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM, and custom applications.
• Experience building and supporting integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex ServiceNow solutions using best-practice configuration and scripting.
• Lead technical design sessions and implement approved solutions.
• Establish coding standards, development patterns, and platform governance.
• Drive scalable solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM, and custom apps.
• Build and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
• Lead upgrades, patching, and regression testing.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and guidance.
• Optimize performance and manage technical debt.

As a ServiceNow Engineer, you will design, build, and enhance solutions across ITSM, ITOM, SPM, HAM, SAM, and Employee Center.
