What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform research and analysis of complex healthcare claims, pharmacy, and lab data regarding network utilization and cost containment
- Develop ad-hoc reports and generate standard reports using SQL and Excel
- Analyze data sets and trends to identify anomalies, outliers, and forecasting opportunities
- Create comprehensive workflows for report production and documentation of reporting processes
- Assist with special projects requested by internal departments or regulatory agencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5-7 years of increasingly complex database and data management responsibilities
- 5-7 years of experience quantifying, measuring, and analyzing financial/performance management metrics
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Demonstrated healthcare experience in quantifying and analyzing financial and utilization metrics
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Medical Economics and strong knowledge of performance indicators
- Proven ability to investigate complex medical cost issues and suggest corrective action plans
- Experience with healthcare analytics and predictive modeling
- Familiarity with multiple data systems and models
- Experience as a Healthcare Analyst I or Financial/Accounting Analyst I
