Job summary

Velcro USA Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst to develop analytical models supporting Global Supply Chain and Purchasing. You will drive data collection, analysis, and reporting while partnering with Finance, IT, and regional teams to standardize processes and governance.

The role focuses on savings tracking, master data governance, and strategic support for working capital and supplier risk initiatives. A strong analytics background and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance with focus on Planning and Analysis, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in purchasing, data analytics or related field.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and software (Tableau, Power BI, Excel Queries).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience applying analytical models and data science principles to reporting and process automation.

Responsibilities

Job description

It’s a great time to join Velcro Companies! Temporary Contract Assignment (minimum 6 months) Summary of Position Responsibility: This role will support the development and application of analytical models required to support Global Supply Chain and Purchasing Organizations in connection with researching, organizing, compiling, analyzing, tracking, and reporting information and data. This position works across the organization as a key contributor to strategy development and execution, Global Purchasing Value Delivery Tracking, Price tracking and reporting. The Senior Analyst will focus on Direct and Indirect material category spend analytics, supporting budgeting and standard cost process with the Finance costing team, data collection, saving initiatives and cost reductions, and Master Data Clean-up and Governance. This role is responsible for enhancing current tools which drive efficient work processes and raw material utilization for our global sourcing operation partners. This is a role which works with multiple cross-functional groups across Velcro Companies including Engineering, Supply chain, Plant Controllers and Costing, Operations, IT and Commercial. This role is critical when eliminating manual data manipulation and reporting, driving it toward automated functionality using ERP and other internal analytical information systems software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain purchasing dashboards to provide visibility into purchasing performance and value delivery. Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and meet the needs of various stakeholders within the Global Purchasing, Executuve and Finance teams.
  • Savings Validation: Collaborate with Finance to validate, track purchasing savings, cost avoidance and working capital initiatives. Ensure that savings are accurately reported, aligned with organizational financial goals and P&L.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Work with purchasing teams to collect, clean, and analyze data related to purchasing activities and supplier performance. Identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement based on data analysis. Analyzing key market subscription data, statistics, and reports to help deepen the understanding of material cost drivers, performance, industry dynamics, market trends, and best practices. Ad-hoc analysis as needed by internal customers, such as Executive Leadership (ELT), Purchasing, Finance and Commercial teams.
  • Standardization: Coordinate with regional purchasing teams to standardize data collection and reporting processes back to the central team. Develop and implement best practices for tracking and reporting purchasing savings projects across regions.
  • Master Data Clean-Up: Lead the Supplier Master Data (SMD) Team to create and maintain a single, accurate, and reliable source of information about all Velcro company's suppliers. Create, review and update global strategy, purchasing procedures and guidelines to maintain accurate supplier master data within ERP systems. Train SMD analysts and additional stakeholders. Identify, prioritize, and supervise master data clean-up activities. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of data used for purchasing activities and reporting.
  • Strategic Support: Support purchasing strategic initiatives (Such as Working Capital Improvement, Supplier Risk Management, etc.) by providing data-driven insights and analysis. Assist in the development of purchasing strategies and plans based on data analysis and market trends. Lead the material budget and strategic planning process, in collaboration with FP&A and Costing.
  • Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into purchasing performance and value delivery. Maintain KPI metrics on "the Loop" for companywide visibility and self-serve awareness. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including costing, plant controllers, supply chain, commercial (sales) and regional purchasing teams to ensure alignment on purchasing goals and strategies. Act as a liaison between purchasing, FP&A and IT to ensure the effective use of data analytics tools and systems.
Knowledge & Experience (Minimum Job Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance with focus on Planning and Analysis, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in purchasing, data analytics or related field.
  • Experience in a Global purchasing function is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel Queries).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Applying analytical models and principles of data science including data, reporting and process automation and implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong presentation skills, building operational reports, queries, presentations, and creating charts/visualizations from data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders and customers across different geographical regions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding basic finance statements: P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented.

Preference for a Manchester, NH based position (40% office/60% home office). Possibility for remote residing in eastern US within commuting distance of major airport.
