Job summary

Nextera Search is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial analysis for corporate G&A. You will partner with business leaders to monitor spending, analyze variances, and evaluate financial trade-offs, while building cash flow forecasts and supporting the monthly close.

The role requires 3+ years in FP&A or corporate finance, strong modeling skills, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years in FP&A or corporate finance.
  • Experience in investment banking or transaction advisory is a plus.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and driver-based models.
  • Understanding of the three financial statements and cash flow forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel and large data set analysis.
  • Experience with ERP/BI tools and financial systems.
  • Familiarity with core accounting concepts.
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to produce executive-level insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial analysis for G&A.
  • Collaborate with leaders to monitor spend, analyze variances, and assess trade-offs.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts covering working capital, collections, and liquidity.
  • Support monthly close with variance analysis and explanations.
  • Coordinate quarterly forecasts and annual budget across areas.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to consolidate and analyze results.
  • Prepare models and management reports for senior leadership.
  • Provide insights for exec/board reporting to drive decisions.
  • Identify improvements to processes and forecasting.
  • Contribute to strategic finance initiatives and special projects.

Job description

A Pre-IPO Technology Firm is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to join their team as a Senior Analyst, FP&A.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial analysis for corporate G&A functions
  • Partner with business leaders to monitor spending, analyze variances, and evaluate financial trade-offs
  • Build and maintain cash flow forecasts, including working capital, collections, and liquidity analysis
  • Support the monthly close process by analyzing results and preparing variance explanations
  • Coordinate quarterly forecasts and the annual budgeting process across assigned areas
  • Partner with Accounting and other internal teams to consolidate and analyze financial results
  • Prepare financial models, management reporting, and presentations for senior leadership
  • Support executive and Board-level reporting and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and forecasting capabilities
  • Assist with strategic finance initiatives and special projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of finance experience, including meaningful experience in FP&A or corporate finance
  • Investment banking or transaction advisory experience a plus
  • Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to build driver-based models from scratch
  • Strong understanding of the three financial statements and how they interact
  • Experience building and analyzing cash flow forecasts
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems and large data sets
  • Experience with financial planning, ERP, visualization, or BI tools a plus
  • Familiarity with core accounting concepts and principles
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills
  • Ability to build and improve processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work across detailed financial analysis and executive-level reporting
