Job summary

AES Corporation in Houston is seeking a Senior Analyst, Structures & Pricing to join our Commercial team and report to the Vice President, Structured Trading & Analytics. You will help drive the renewable energy growth strategy by supporting the structuring, valuation, and commercial analysis of solar, wind, energy storage, and thermal generation opportunities.

This role requires collaboration across Origination, Trading, Engineering, Risk Management, and Digital teams to develop

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
Experience in energy transaction valuation and structured products.
Knowledge of wholesale power markets and renewable energy economics.
Experience developing models using Python, R, MATLAB, or VBA.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with commercial teams to design structured energy products and evaluate transactions.
Support valuation models for renewable and thermal generation opportunities.
Partner with Origination, Mergers & Acquisitions, Trading, and Development teams.
Work with ETRM to implement structures and workflows across systems.
Assist Risk Management with model validation and governance.
Help automate analyses and recurring reporting processes.
