Job summary

1954 Disney HR Strategies & Services, LLC seeks a Senior Analyst, Data Solutions & Analytics to lead end-to-end development of Workforce Planning tools in Burbank. You will build scalable tools, ensure data quality, and deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders.

You will apply statistical methods, ML processes, and narrative storytelling to guide strategic decisions and drive business outcomes. This role reports to Solutions & Analytics management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of strategic analytics translating data into actionable tools/insights.
• 2+ years in statistical methods, forecasting, and model building (e.g., PCA, regression, trees).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Ability to distill data and craft data-driven narratives for decision making.
• Strong ability to communicate strategic recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable adjusting requirements and timelines as business changes.

Job Posting Title: Senior Analyst, Data Solutions & Analytics (PH) Req ID: 10160692 Job Description: The Senior Analyst, Data Solutions & Analytics is responsible for the full life cycle development of Workforce Planning solutions and tools, as well as helping build out statistical modeling components. This role will report to the Manager, Solutions & Analytics and will help develop solutions and tools for various Workforce Planning needs while maintaining communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build front-facing, user-friendly, secure tools that prioritize user experience and scalability.
• Maintain a high level of data quality and standardization across tools and platforms to ensure alignment between Workforce Planning tools.
• Develop standardized, repeatable data structures from our data warehouse, using languages such as Python and SQL, to feed products and tools.
• Take necessary action based on stakeholder communications regarding timeline changes, business changes, and other impacts throughout development.
• Perform user acceptance testing on all upcoming tool releases and address all bugs in a timely manner.
• Adhere to team’s overall ticketing timelines for bugs, enhancements, and general requests.
• Generate audits to help identify and address any discrepancies in Workforce data.
• Create accurate, sustainable statistical algorithms and machine learning processes that support Workforce Planning tools.
• Proactively identify analytical opportunities to answer business questions and drive action through clear actionable insights and storytelling.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of strategic analytics experience translating data into actionable tools and/or insights
• 2+ years of experience in statistical methods, forecasting, and model building (e.g. Cluster Analysis, PCA, Regression, Decision Trees/Random Forests, Structural Equation Modeling)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Skilled at simplifying complex problems, distilling data, and constructing compelling data-driven narratives to guide decision making.
• Ability to effectively communicate strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortability with adjusting requirements and timelines as the business changes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a large, complex company.
• Experience with workforce/HR data.
• Experience with dashboarding tools such as Airtable, Tableau, SAS VA, Power BI, or Streamlit

Salary & Benefits

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $115,300 to $140,900 per year.

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
