Iambic Therapeutics, Inc is seeking a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to join its growing Finance Team in San Diego. The role focuses on financial consolidations, long-range planning, and partnering with G&A groups to provide analytics for strategic decisions.

The position reports to the Head of FP&A and requires 4–6 years in FP&A, with strong Excel, modeling, and ERP/planning tool experience. Ideal for candidates aiming to influence corporate growth in a biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred; MBA or CPA a plus.
• 4–6 years FP&A experience, preferably biotech, pharma or life sciences; experience in IB/Big4/consulting a plus.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and consolidation processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP and planning tools (NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan) preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to partner with scientific and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage consolidation process for budgets and forecasts across all G&A groups.
• Support long-range corporate modeling for strategic planning and capital management.
• Partner with G&A groups including Admin, BD & Communications, Facilities, Finance, HR, Legal, IT.
• Lead annual planning, mid-year reforecast, and quarterly budget-to-actual meetings for all G&A groups.
• Develop and maintain financial models and budgets to track G&A spending by group and program.
• Provide timely financial insights to senior leadership for decision-making.
• Assist in long-range and scenario planning for growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with Accounting on month-end close activities.
• Support scalable FP&A tools, processes, and improvements.

JOB SUMMARY

We are hiring a Senior Analyst, Corporate FP&A to join the growing Finance Team at Iambic, an innovative biotech company redefining drug discovery and development by applying industry-leading AI and Machine Learning technology. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role will be responsible for financial consolidations and long-range corporate planning. This role will also partner with our G&A groups on a broad range of planning and forecasting activities and provide group leaders with detailed analytics and insights to help inform strategic decision-making. This position will be based in our San Diego Headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the consolidation process for budgets and forecasts for functional groups across Computational, Discovery & Experimental, Clinical & CMC, and G&A.
• Support the development of the long-range corporate model used to guide strategic planning and capital management.
• Serve as a finance business partner for all G&A groups including Administration, BD & Communications, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and IT.
• Lead the financial planning process (annual planning cycle, mid-year reforecast and quarterly budget-to-actual meetings) for all G&A groups.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models and budgets to track all G&A spending by group and program.
• Provide timely and actionable financial insights to senior leadership in support of strategic decision-making.
• Assist in long-range planning efforts as well as scenario planning initiatives for our corporate growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on month-end close activities.
• Support the development of scalable, gold-standard FP&A tools, systems and processes as the company grows.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the FP&A function.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered; MBA or CPA a plus.
• 4 - 6 years of professional FP&A experience, preferably within biotech, pharma or life sciences. Prior experience in investment banking, public accounting, or management consulting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and consolidation processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; prior experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. NetSuite) and financial planning tools (e.g. Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar) are preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required, with the ability to partner effectively across scientific and business teams.
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and strong desire to build new processes and tools to support a growth-oriented organization.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are required.
