Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking a skilled professional to ensure that study protocols are translated into robust clinical systems and that data standards are consistently applied across projects. You will influence cross-functional teams, align systems with regulatory requirements, and mentor junior data scientists.

You will collaborate on EDC, IRT, and ePRO implementations, driving timely design and delivery while staying current with evolving guidelines and company SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent. Masters preferred.
• Must have 3+ years of clinical technology experience (e.g., EDC, IRT, ePRO) or 5+ years in a similar technical/clinical development role.
• Knowledge of CDASH and SDTM; demonstrated ability to influence others and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that study protocol requirements are reflected in systems designs and that common data standards are used.
• Ensures that systems are specified to optimize functionality, end user experience, and data flow.
• Accountable for on-time design and delivery of new clinical systems and integrations; tracks progress and solves issues.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards (GCP, ICH) and AbbVie SOPs; stays updated with local regulations and policies.
• Coaches and mentors Data Science Associates; participates in cross-functional innovation and process improvements.
