Job summary

American Express is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to join the Data Strategy & Analytics team driving AI, advanced analytics, and data-driven insights to transform risk management and data capabilities across the enterprise. You will collaborate with Risk, Technology, Product, Data Science, Compliance and Enterprise AI teams to deliver measurable business value.

The role requires a strong foundation in analytics, ML, visualization, and software like Python/SQL, plus experience with cloud

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
3+ years of analytics, data science, machine learning, strategy, risk management, or related disciplines.
Excellent written and verbal communication with business audiences.
Familiarity with ML, predictive modeling, and Generative AI incl. LLMs and prompt engineering.
Strong project and stakeholder management with cross-functional influence.
Experience developing data visualizations and executive reporting (Tableau/Power BI).
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with structured/unstructured data.
Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with cloud analytics platforms and big data tech.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
