We’ve been distributed from the start, initially between Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with offices worldwide. This role is flexible to be based in any US office or remote, focusing on impact over location.

A Sonos Senior Americas Retail Trainer energizes educational moments across North America for retail partners and manages cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate will have deep consumer electronics knowledge, expertise in home audio and networking solutions, and a passion for storytelling to diverse audiences. Our team embodies respect, collaboration, transparency, and ownership.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Deliver engaging educational content to various audiences through in-person, webinars, on-camera training, and trade shows.
  2. Travel regularly across the US, Canada, and Mexico for retail training events.
  3. Collaborate with Retail Account Managers to develop training initiatives, drive engagement, and achieve sales goals.
  4. Manage relationships with third-party agencies for training delivery.
  5. Coordinate with Marketing to provide content for on-demand learning platforms.
  6. Create sales training materials to empower retail staff in selling Sonos products.
  7. Lead educational projects and product launches in retail settings.
  8. Communicate effectively with retail staff, professional AV installers, and consumers.
  9. Adapt communication styles based on the audience.
  10. Work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, remotely and in person.
  11. Innovate training methods to make educational experiences engaging.
  12. Maintain ongoing communication with partners and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
  14. Refine presentation skills regularly to maintain high standards.
  15. Build upon Sonos’ legacy of top-tier training experiences.
What You’ll Need:
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in public speaking and on-camera presentations.
  • 5-10 years in education or sales in retail environments.
  • Ability to communicate knowledge effectively in retail settings.
  • Experience developing learning materials.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia for training.

  • Experience in audio/video retail, installation, or design.
  • Strong writing skills in a conversational style.
  • Humility and a growth mindset.
  • Passion for consumer electronics and home theater.
