Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse for the Wound Center. The successful candidate will provide patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, adhering to NYU Langone Health standards. The role involves collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive, patient-centered care plans.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide staff education and in-service training, including BCLS classes.
• Collect and analyze patient healthcare data using assessment techniques.
• Develop and implement care plans to meet expected outcomes.
• Provide emergency care as per policy.
• Educate patients and families to promote health and adjustment to health changes.
• Support institutional standards and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Coordinate clinical schedules, oversee department competencies, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Senior nurses at the Hyperbaric and Advanced Wound Healing Center will have additional duties as outlined in the specific policy for that center.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; diploma or associate degree with at least one year of experience and plans to earn a bachelor’s degree required.
• Current NY Registered Nurse license.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience.

Required Licenses:

• Registered Nurse License - NY
• Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS certification
