HW3 in New York, NY, is seeking a Senior Alternatives Fund Formation Tax/Legal Structurer to lead the design, structuring, and launch of new alternative investment products across real estate, infrastructure, private credit, and liquid assets. The role is hybrid with on-site presence required for several days.

The ideal candidate has significant legal/tax structuring experience in alternatives, a track record launching funds, and deep knowledge of asset classes.

Qualifications

• Significant legal and/or tax structuring experience within alternatives or asset management.
• Demonstrated experience launching new funds or investment products across alternative asset classes.
• Strong knowledge of private real estate, infrastructure, private credit, and/or liquid real assets.
• Familiarity with structures such as REITs, interval or tender-offer funds, and alternative investment funds.
• Experience advising asset managers through a law firm, Big Four firm, consultancy, or investment platform is highly relevant.
• Strong leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement, and commercial problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, structuring, approval, and launch of new alternative investment products.
• Evaluate the legal, tax, regulatory, compliance, and operational implications of new fund structures.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects involving Investments, Product, Sales, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Fund Operations.
• Identify product opportunities, develop business cases, and oversee multiple launches from concept through execution.
• Manage and mentor a small team while remaining hands-on in product development and delivery.
• Coordinate with external legal, tax, and advisory partners as needed.
