Job summary

Upstart is seeking an ALM Manager to own the bank's asset and liability management framework and interest rate risk management. You will lead the ALM platform implementation, develop key assumptions, and translate model results into actionable balance sheet guidance.

This role collaborates with Finance, Risk, Lending, and Data teams. The successful candidate has 10+ years in treasury/ALM, strong modeling skills, and a proven ability to present to senior leadership in a regulated banking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in bank treasury, ALM, or IRR management.
• Experience in regulated banking environments & ALM platforms.
• Hands‑on ALM platform operations and IRR reporting.
• Experience with model assumptions, data lineage, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own asset and liability management framework and IRR measurement.
• Lead ALM platform implementation, data mapping, and governance.
• Develop behavioral assumptions and conduct sensitivity analyses.
• Design rate shocks, scenarii, and monitor risk indicators.
• Recommend balance sheet actions and ALM implications for new products.
• Prepare decision-useful ALM/IRR reporting for committees and regulators.
