Job summary

KLA is seeking a senior algorithm engineer in Milpitas, CA, to lead the development of advanced image modeling and processing algorithms within the RAPID division. You will collaborate across systems, optics, sensors and software teams to drive productization and robust performance in reticle inspection systems.

Ideal candidates have strong background in image processing, ML/DL, and HPC, with hands-on C++ production software experience.

Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) degree with 3+ years related experience, or Master’s 6+ years, or Bachelor’s 8+ years.
Strong background in image processing, ML, or DL for advanced imaging systems.
Knowledge of imaging system modeling (optical or electron beam).
Experience in HPC and GPU-accelerated computing.
Proficiency in C++ production software development and OO programming.

Responsibilities

Develop algorithmic solutions for image modeling and processing from requirements gathering to productization.
Identify technical bottlenecks and balance sophistication with computation through data analysis.
Collaborate with systems, optics, sensors & software teams to co-optimize algorithms with other subsystems.
Influence team members to achieve technical rigor and development agility with customer focus.
Work with field teams and customers to deploy algorithms and integrate into inspection systems at customer sites, including occasional international travel.
