Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors of Richmond is seeking passionate, knowledgeable senior algebra tutors to join our Richmond team. You will work one-on-one with students to support academic success in algebra, geometry, calculus and related STEM subjects, tailoring instruction to each learner’s style to build confidence and mastery.

As a private, in-home tutor, you will design customized sessions aligned with Virginia standards, provide remedial or enrichment support, assign materials, and communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Virginia teaching eligibility.
• Experience teaching math or science to K-12 students.
• Ability to tailor instruction to individual learning styles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, punctual, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring aligned with Virginia curriculum standards.
• Design and deliver customized tutoring sessions in STEM subjects.
• Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on student needs.
• Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report progress and goals.
