The position requires a NYS Security Guard License, US citizenship, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Active NYS Security Guard License required.
• U.S. citizenship or national status required.
• Pass pre-employment background check after offer.
• Excellent customer service and the ability to interact professionally with the public.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and rotate guards.
• Ensure breaks and meals are taken on time.
• Conduct shift briefings as needed.
• Screen airport employees entering restricted areas.
• Verify identities and credentials using established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment such as metal detectors.
• Enforce security regulations in a professional manner.
• Monitor employee behavior and report suspicious activities.
• Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement as needed.
• Provide clear instructions about the screening process.
• Conduct property searches as part of security strategy.
• Respond to alarms or alerts from screening equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
