Job summary

Gregg County in East Texas seeks an experienced Airport Maintenance Technician IV to perform skilled and semi-skilled repair work across landside and airside assets. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pavement maintenance, with supervision from the Airport Maintenance Director and Foreman.

You will mentor junior staff and ensure FAA Part 139 and TSA 1542 compliance while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or trade school education in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, industrial maintenance, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial or industrial maintenance; prior airport/aviation maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled maintenance, installations, and repairs in building construction and mechanical trades.
  • Conduct repairs on electrical systems including airfield lighting and security gates.
  • Repair and maintain airport surfaces and pavement; apply finishes and safe pesticide use per regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance manuals; follow instructions precisely.
  • Mentor lower-level maintenance personnel and assist in coordinating contracted projects.
