Job summary

RS&H seeks a Senior Airfield Engineer to join our Atlanta team and lead project delivery for airfield design and infrastructure. You will mentor teams, manage QA, and coordinate with airports, airlines, and FAA to advance projects across the region.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in civil design with aviation experience, a PE or ability to obtain within 12 months, and strong communication and technical skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of civil design experience, with 4+ years in aviation.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals.
• Experience with aviation plans and technical specifications.
• Proven ability to lead small to moderate-sized projects.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

RS&H seeks an aviation professional to join our Atlanta team as a Senior Airfield Engineer. Lead Project Delivery

• Support project execution from concept through construction – airfield design, pavement, utilities, terminals, and infrastructure
• Oversee design teams, manage quality assurance, and track financial performance
• Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and stakeholders across the region
• Prepare project plans, specifications, and technical reports
• Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative team culture
• Apply technical expertise to solve complex design challenges
• Build confidence leading projects of varying scope and complexity

Grow the Business

• Support business development and client relationship management
• Contribute to proposals and strategic initiatives
• Strengthen client loyalty across Georgia
• Represent RS&H at regional industry events

Required

What We're Looking For
