Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Brunswick, GA is seeking an Upholstery Technician IV to fabricate and install upholstery and trim in aircraft interiors. This full-time role supports a Monday–Thursday day shift, and requires interpreting drawings, sewing, and installing seat covers, curtains, and interior panels to meet safety and quality standards.

The position also involves leading projects as needed, mentoring technicians, performing safety audits, maintaining shop equipment, and driving

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
4 years upholstery experience including two years aircraft upholstery or 6 years commercial upholstery.
Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes and products and/or advanced carpet knowledge.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains and various assemblies and subassemblies.
Interpret material specifications and design/engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements.
Sew, fabricate, and install covers for all styles of panels in the aircraft interior while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards and goals.
Use the Corridor material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off work.
Work with design/drawings to cut and install advanced custom design carpets with unique patterns.
