Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks an Upholstery Tech II to fabricate and install aircraft interiors, covering foam and panels per design drawings. You will work with fabric, vinyl and leather, and may sew simple covers following engineering specs.

Responsibilities include cutting carpets, fitting panels, and using the material-tracking system to request parts and sign off work; travel up to 25% and working in a lean manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers and/or tools used in upholstery.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, cover and install flat panels and curtains per drawings and specs.
• Sew simple covers using design drawings and specs.
• Work with fabric, vinyl and leather hides, composites and other materials with specified tools.
• Cut and surge carpets and cover bulkheads and panels.
