Job summary

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Lead Aircraft Technician to join our H125 FAL team based in Columbus, MS. You will lead assigned sections, execute activities within your area, and drive performance to meet schedule and hour goals.

You will communicate issues daily with other departments to resolve challenges. With at least eight years in rotary aircraft, including senior technician experience, you will shape the execution of aircraft installations and mentor technicians while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of rotary aircraft experience, with two (2) of the eight (8) as a senior technician or equivalent.
• Helicopter maintenance experience.
• Evaluates lower level technician capabilities.
• Inspects work of lower level technicians and identifies discrepancies.
• Determine usability of parts and material.
• Make complex decisions as it relates to aircraft installations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and prioritize the workload of the assigned section to ensure on time delivery of aircraft according to delivery schedules.
• Assess schedule dates taking into account parts, technician availability and collaborate with the supervisor accordingly.
• Control, assign workforce and monitor workflow according to schedules.
• Assist supervisor in drumbeating the section activity in order to reach (OTD) On Time Delivery.
• Provide Technical Expertise and Recommendations in support of all aircraft installations.
• Perform electrical and mechanical aircraft work.
• Inspect completed electrical and mechanical work.
• Use and interpret various forms of Aircraft Documentation in order to complete electrical work.
