Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Paint Technician in Perryville, MO. The role requires leading a production crew, coordinating with departments, and ensuring quality and safety standards in aircraft painting.

A high school diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of painting experience are preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years’ experience painting aircraft, autobody, RV or Marine preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and lead small teams.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the production crew to meet scheduling demands.
• Coordinate schedule with other departments.
• Train team members to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Schedule with parts department to ensure materials are available.
• Assist in final inspection of aircraft.
• Maintain the paint shop and work facilities in a clean, orderly manner.
• Lead and delegate tasks to qualified subordinates as needed.
• Adhere to company and safety rules during performance of duties.
