West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Paint Technician to join our Statesville, NC team. The role encompasses painting aircraft, prepping surfaces, and maintaining regulatory compliance with FAA/OSHA/EPA guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma with 5+ years in aviation painting operations. Expect travel to offsite locations and collaboration with a small team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Vo-tech in paint preferred but not required.
• 5+ years in aviation painting operations.
• Able to travel to offsite locations as needed.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in spraying techniques and customizing chemical formulas to overcome environmental challenges and various substrates.
• Performs duties in compliance with regulations, including FAA, OSHA and EPA.
• Create complete paint prep work including chemical stripping and sanding on various substrates.
• Proficient in tape masking of product and occasionally use of body filler products and sanding techniques.
• Completes aircraft paint detailing.
• Will travel to offsite locations.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
