Job summary

Yulista is seeking an NDI Technician to inspect aircraft and components for structural integrity using nondestructive methods and to analyze engine oil for wear metal debris.

Qualifications

• Meet the requirements of ASNT-TC-1A or NAS410 level II for magnetic particle, ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic and liquid penetrant inspection techniques.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• FAA Airplane and/or Powerplant certification or related special skills/certifications (NDI, Welding, Egress, Machining, etc.).
• 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.
• Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Repair, inspect and maintain structural, mechanical, and electrical elements of the aircraft.
• Possess knowledge in the use of and be able to train others in a wide variety of diagnostics devices, computers, hand and mechanical tools.
• Provide oversight and may direct and train others in the completion of aircraft related maintenance tasks.
• Perform NDI duties and other related tasks as required.
• Determine NDI test methods using applicable technical orders.
• Prepare parts for inspection; interpret indications on aircraft and support equipment using various inspection methods.
• Prepare engine samples for wear metal analysis and evaluate test results.
• Handle, label and dispose of hazardous materials and waste per environmental standards.
• Document maintenance as per QA and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain control tools; report missing or broken tools and manage inventory.
