Qualifications

  • 8+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.
  • Experience with corporate jets such as Gulfstream and Challenger aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and repairs on various aircraft systems.
  • Troubleshoot and function test using manufacturer's technical documents.
  • Lead aircraft projects as directed by the Crew Chief.

Job description

Elliott Aviation has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Aircraft Mechanicat their location at the Peachtree-Dekalb Airport in Atlanta, GA. We have multiple shifts available, 1st/3rd shift weekdays and 1st/3rd shift weekends. Shift differentials are provided. New hires will be on 1st shift during training, travel may be required during first weeks of employment for training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs inspections, servicing, and repairs of a complex nature on various aircraft systems and components
  • Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and function test referencing manufacturer's technical documents across a variety of airframe, engine and component systems
  • Leads aircraft projects as directed by the Crew Chief and Supervisor
  • Expertly prepares and completes various documents for maintenance/ modification record keeping purposes, as required by FAA Airworthiness Regulations, Elliott Aviation Policies and Processes, FAA Approved Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, and personal training logs (OJT)
  • Proficiently and consistently locate and uses the appropriate technical data to accomplish any and all tasks
  • Support, maintain, and comply with all Federal, OSHA, State and local regulations, and Elliott Aviation's Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Processes
  • Perform related duties, as assigned.

Other Requirements Include:

  • Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required
  • Ability to attain & retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
  • Must obtain & retain designation as an Elliott Aviation Production Inspector (Blue stamp)
  • High school graduate or equivalency degree required
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, 145
  • 8+ years aircraft maintenance experience required
  • Experience with corporate jets such as Challenger and Gulfstream aircraft
Salary & Benefits
Wage Scale:
The wage scale for this position ranges from $24.00 to $48.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications and performance. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location.
