Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the United States is seeking a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician 2 for the Greater Kansas City area. You will perform routine aircraft maintenance, general servicing, and assist with scheduled and unscheduled tasks while mentoring Aircraft Maintenance Technician 1 associates.

Responsibilities include logbook entry preparation, adherence to FAA regulations, and willingness to work overtime with a flexible schedule. DOT and DOT-related duties may apply at specific locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Rating is required.
• 5+ years of relevant aviation maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education/military experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team performing inspections and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and work with DOT regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil/filter changes, tire maintenance, and light-bulb/battery replacements.
• Prepare logbook entries for maintenance actions.
• Mentor Aircraft Maintenance Technician 1 associates.
• Work overtime and flexible schedules as needed.
