Job summary

State of Wisconsin is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor to lead the Aircraft Maintenance Program and supervise the Wisconsin Air Services staff. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of the state aircraft fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience performing general aviation aircraft maintenance, airframe repair and modification, and troubleshooting of electrical or avionics systems.
• Possession of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards for the program in accordance with FARs and industry benchmarks.
• Provide final authorization on aircraft worthiness for return to service.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Monitor the program’s expenditures.
• Supervise aircraft maintenance staff and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• May function as a hands-on mechanic during critical periods to support fleet readiness.
