Job summary

Delta Air Lines in Atlanta seeks a versatile engineer to oversee development and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation for hangar and 24/7 operations maintenance, ensuring compliance with AD, FAR and Delta policy.

You will liaise with OEM, Maintenance, Materials and other departments to deliver timely aircraft repairs, analyze issues, and maintain safety in all operations; travel for AOG supported; shift work expected.

Qualifications

  • Four-year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) required; experience may replace degree.
  • Requires working odd hours and/or weekends based on operational requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and punctuality.
  • Engineer or Senior Engineer role based on experience.
  • Minimum 1–5 years of engineering experience.
  • Problem-solving background with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Adaptable and able to perform under stress with short deadlines.
  • Travel for AOG aircraft required; passport holder preferred.
  • Safety and data protection are prioritized.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, design and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation for Delta's ATL Hangar and 24/7 operations.
  • Evaluate AD, FAR and Delta policy requirements to ensure compliance in engineering documentation.
  • Analyze and correct problems impacting maintenance support activities.
  • Understand airline operations to provide safe aircraft operation solutions.
  • Liaise with OEM, Maintenance, Materials and other departments to ensure timely execution of repairs.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures.
