Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks a Gulfstream Team Lead, Interior Technician in East Alton, IL to supervise interior removal, installations and modifications. You will lead crews, schedule work, quote scopes, train staff and provide technical guidance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

This senior role requires strong FAA paperwork knowledge, hands-on leadership of multiple technicians, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisor course preferred.
• 10+ years experience in aircraft interior with supervision of 4+ team members preferred.
• 4+ years in heavy modifications on corporate aircraft.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage crews by communicating with Interior Crew Leaders and staff; determine flow for assignments.
• Perform quality checks; supervise and assign personnel on daily activities.
• Train, coach and mentor crew leads to develop job knowledge and performance.
• Prepare and deliver performance evaluations of assigned team members.
• Assist with engineering on design for major modification projects.
• Work independently on projects when required.
• Assist with training to ensure job knowledge and performance of interior personnel.
• Communicate effectively in English; read and write documentation.
