Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Gulfstream Lead Aircraft Interior Technician in East Alton, IL. The role focuses on leading a team responsible for installation, modification, repair, refurbishment, and fabrication of aircraft interior components.

You will supervise and mentor technicians, ensure quality, and participate in major modification projects while adhering to FAA guidelines and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; supervisory training preferred.
• 8+ years of interior experience on aircraft, autos, RVs, or marine environments.
• Experience leading small teams and coordinating tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality interior work on time.
• Manage installations by coordinating with Interior Team Leader and other staff.
• Perform quality checks, supervise daily activities, and assign tasks to team members.
• Train, coach and mentor technicians and conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Assist with engineering designs for major modification projects.
• Perform modifications with minimal supervision and handle routine project handoffs.
