Job summary

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is seeking a Senior Aircraft Airworthiness Inspector to perform quality inspections and ensure airworthiness for aircraft and components. The role requires aviation inspection experience, an FAA A&P license, and strong documentation skills.

The position offers a full-time contract with a 12-month duration and potential extension. The pay rate is $40.39 per hour and may include per diem and benefits based on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years aircraft/component inspection experience to include (3) years on large or mid-size aircraft.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A'P) license required.
• Proficient in FARs, FAA forms and documentation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and use maintenance manuals.
• Familiar with FAA certification and approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform all quality control inspections on aircraft and components within the repair station.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements during maintenance or outfitting activities.
• Coordinate with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
• Audit maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracy before aircraft are approved for return to service.
• Verify aircraft and components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
• Mentor technicians on proper documentation practices and promote high-quality standards.
• Research aircraft log books and maintenance programs to identify ongoing inspection programs and AD/SB status.
• Assist leads in training airworthiness inspectors and support troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in certification activities, final phase testing, and flight tests as required.
