Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years in restraints engineering (frontal and/or side curtain airbags).
• Demonstrated lifecycle mastery from concept to launch and service.
• Advanced CAD/PLM proficiency (CATIA, NX, Enovia).
• Knowledge of global safety regulations (FMVSS 208, 214, 226, Euro NCAP).

Responsibilities

• Airbag System Ownership: lead end-to-end design, packaging, and execution of airbag modules for frontal and side curtain deployments.
• CAD & Packaging: drive CATIA V6 design for tight interior packaging and integration.
• Studio & Interior Integration: align airbag packaging with design themes and trim.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: coordinate with Body Structure, CAE, Electrical, Testing, and suppliers.
• BOM & Change Management: author and manage engineering BOMs.
• Risk & Quality Management: lead DFMEA for airbag modules and deployment systems.
• Validation & Sign-Off: develop DV/PV plans and coordinate tests and sign-off.
